SHE'S HOME!

We actually got her home on Wednesday, 12/3 about 6pm. The last few days have been busier than I imagined they would be. While she has mostly been resting and sleeping there has been lots for me to do.

Thank you all for the food, calls and emails of support, as well as the donations and auction items. We are truly blessed and grateful for the support.

Michelle is doing very well but it is hard for her to be still and patient with the recovery process. She thinks she should have more energy but she tires very easily. I told her the other day that the problem is that she is comparing how whe feels now with how she felt on Monday morning before the surgery, and that she has to remember to compare how she feels now with how she felt on Monday evening, after the surgery. It definitely puts things into perspective.

We went to the doctor on Friday morning to have the staples removed and they could not remove all of them yet. So we will be going back on Monday morning to see about having the remaining ones taken out. Her appetite is good though she needs small frequent meals. She is walking well and we get her out for a walk every day.

We are taking things one day at a time and know that she will recover completely. Now we are looking forward to getting the pathology results so that it's official that all is clear and no further treatment will be needed. I will post that information as soon as we have it.

Gratefully,

Sherry and Michelle
